E-Bikes FAQs
Our E-MTB bikes are designed for loose ground and uneven terrain. They feature full suspension to effortlessly overcome obstacles and provide extra comfort. They are also equipped with powerful brakes to bring you to a reliable stop, even when riding downhill. E-trekking bikes are comfortable all-rounders for everyday use, touring, and commuting. Versatile thanks to their suspension forks and large-volume tires. Gravel e-bikes are at home on both gravel and roads – ideal for sportier commuting and bike rides. E-city bikes are made for everyday urban life: agile, comfortable, and ideal for daily trips around town.
Aventon e-bikes are designed for pedal assistance up to a maximum of 25 km/h in Germany. Of course, it is possible to travel faster than this, but without additional motor assistance.
In Germany, there is no helmet requirement for e-bikes that provide assistance up to 25 km/h. However, we recommend that all cyclists always wear a helmet when riding their bike or e-bike.
For classic commuting, the trekking category is usually the best choice (comfort, stability, longer distances). If you mainly ride in the city and are looking for a particularly agile, uncomplicated setup, city e-bikes are often the best choice. If your commute regularly takes you over gravel or side roads and you want a more sporty riding experience, gravel e-bikes are often the best fit.
