Warranty Terms

General

The warrantor of this limited manufacturer's warranty is Ride Aventon Germany GmbH, Ganghofer Straße 70b, 80339 Munich, Germany (hereinafter "Aventon").

Territorial scope: This warranty applies to products purchased in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, provided that the product was purchased through Aventon or an Aventon-authorized sales partner and warranty processing is carried out by Aventon or an Aventon-authorized service partner.

This warranty applies in addition to your statutory warranty rights and is granted free of charge. Exercising your statutory warranty rights against the seller is free of charge and is not restricted by this warranty.

Your statutory rights, in particular under the purchase agreement, remain unaffected and exist independently of this voluntary warranty.

Eligible Persons and Transferability

This warranty is personal. It does not automatically apply to every subsequent owner of the product, but exclusively to the group of persons described in this section.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser, i.e. the person who purchased the product as new through Aventon or an Aventon-authorized sales partner.

It may be transferred once to a second-hand buyer, provided that buyer meets all of the following requirements:

• Is a natural person,
• purchased the product for private, non-commercial purposes, and
• can present the original proof of purchase.

Transfer to any further buyer (a third-hand buyer) is excluded; this warranty lapses if the second-hand buyer resells the product. Commercial buyers (e.g. dealers or commercial resellers) are not eligible for this warranty under any circumstances.

We recommend that you report a transfer via the contact form available on the website. However, doing so is not a mandatory requirement.

The remaining warranty period is based on the original purchase date. No additional costs apply for the transfer.

Warranty eligibility therefore rests, at any given time, solely with the original purchaser or a second-hand buyer who meets the requirements above. In both cases, eligibility is proven by presenting the original proof of purchase.

Warranty Scope and Duration

3.1 Warranty scope

Aventon grants the original purchaser, as well as an eligible second-hand buyer (see Section 2), a manufacturer's warranty against defects in material and workmanship. The applicable warranty period is set out in Sections 3.2 to 3.6 below.

This requires that the product was purchased through Aventon or an Aventon-authorized sales partner.

Registration is not required for the two-year manufacturer's warranty.

The warranty applies to the respective E-Bike, parts, or accessories purchased from Aventon.

In the event of a warranty claim, the warranty covers, at Aventon's discretion:

• repair of the affected product or component,
• replacement with an equivalent product or component, or
• replacement with a comparable successor model, provided the original product is no longer available.

The warranty applies exclusively to defects in material and workmanship. Consequences of normal wear and tear are not covered; see Section 5 for details.

Warranty processing is carried out by Aventon or an Aventon-authorized service partner.

3.2 Extended Frame Warranty

For the bicycle frame, Aventon grants an extended frame warranty, provided you register the bicycle within 30 days of the original purchase date via the registration form on the website or through the Aventon app.

Upon registration within 30 days, Aventon grants a warranty covering the technical service life of the frame (lifetime warranty), limited to a maximum of ten (10) years from the date of purchase.

The extended frame warranty is transferable to a second-hand buyer under the conditions of Section 2, provided that:

• the second-hand buyer can present the original proof of purchase, and
• the bicycle was registered by the original purchaser within 30 days.

The extended frame warranty period is always based on the original purchase date.

3.3 Aventon-branded components and equipment parts

Two (2) years from the date of purchase.

3.4 Battery (E-Bikes)

The warranty period for the battery is two (2) years from the date of purchase, or ends upon reaching 300 full charge cycles, whichever occurs first.

For the duration of this warranty period, Aventon guarantees that the battery's charging capacity is at least 75 % of the rated capacity stated by the manufacturer. If the charging capacity falls below this value within the warranty period, this constitutes a warranty case.

A full charge cycle occurs once a total of 100 % of the battery's capacity has been charged. Partial charges are cumulative (for example, two charges of 50 % each equal one full charge cycle). The number of charge cycles is determined by the battery management system (BMS) and can also be viewed in the Aventon app.

3.5 Accessories

Two (2) years from the date of purchase.

3.6 Paint and graphics

One (1) year from the date of purchase.

Warranty Processing

In the event of a warranty claim, Aventon will, at its discretion, carry out a repair or a replacement (see Section 3.1).

Replaced parts become the property of Aventon.

In an approved warranty case, Aventon covers the material and labor costs required for the repair, provided the repair is carried out by Aventon or an Aventon-authorized service partner. If no service partner is available near you, Aventon will refer you to a suitable partner workshop.

The costs of transporting or returning the bicycle to the place of repair are not covered by the warranty and are borne by the warranty holder. This does not affect the coverage of the required material and labor costs in an approved warranty case.

There is no entitlement to a new product, or to a loaner or replacement product, while the warranty service is being carried out.

Warranty Exclusions

The following are excluded from the warranty, in particular:

• Damage resulting from accident, fall, overload, or improper use.
• Damage caused by improper assembly, unauthorized modifications, corrosion, exposure to weather, or improper care or unsuitable cleaning products.
• Normal or typical wear and tear on the products, as well as replacement of wear parts such as:
  • Tires and tubes
  • Brake discs, brake pads, and rim brake tracks
  • Chains, sprockets, seals, bearings, and drivetrain gears
  • Handlebar grips
  • Freewheel hubs and freewheel pawls
  • Brake and gear cables and their housings
  • Moving rubber parts
• Purely cosmetic damage (e.g. scratches, paint chips), unless it impairs the product's function.
• Consequential damages such as loss of use, lost vacation enjoyment, rental costs, or loss of earnings. Any statutory claims for damages against the seller remain unaffected by this.
• Damage that can be shown to result from maintenance and servicing not carried out in accordance with the instructions and intervals set out in the user manual.

This warranty applies exclusively to private, non-commercial use of the products within their normal scope, in accordance with their intended purpose and the respective user manual.

This warranty is voided, in particular, if the product:

• is used for commercial purposes (e.g. in rental fleets or courier services), or
• is subjected to loads that exceed its intended use — for example, use in downhill, freeride, or enduro riding, jumps, drops, or stunts, races or competitions, or structural modifications to the frame, suspension, or electrical system, including tuning measures such as speed manipulation or unauthorized software or hardware interventions.

A warranty exclusion under this section requires that the claimed damage can be shown to result from the relevant circumstance.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Report the warranty case, together with proof of purchase (invoice or receipt), through an Aventon partner or directly to Ride Aventon Germany GmbH using the contact form available on the website. Your report should include photos of the damage and a description of how it occurred.

The warranty review process is as follows:

1. Aventon reviews your request.
2. Follow-up questions about the matter may be asked.
3. Once the review is successfully completed, the repair or replacement is carried out.
4. Aventon will notify you of any rejection in writing.

Provision of the Warranty Terms

These warranty terms are provided to the consumer no later than the time of delivery of the goods, on a durable medium, as a PDF document sent by e-mail. The current version is also available at aventon.de/pages/garantie-bestimmungen.
