Shipping & Delivery

Safely packaged, delivered promptly. Everything you need to know about shipping costs, times and process.

 

1. Delivery Area

We currently deliver exclusively within Germany.

  • Germany (mainland):
    Standard conditions apply to all orders. Delivery to parcel lockers or PO boxes is not available for e-bike orders.
  • German islands (e.g. Sylt, Rügen, Norderney):
    Please contact customer service before ordering to get an island surcharge quote.

 

2. Shipping Costs at a Glance

Costs are shown at checkout and depend on the product category.

  • E-Bikes: € 59.00 / item within 4 – 7 business days per Freight carrier (e.g. DHL Freight, Go Express)
  • Batteries: € 34.90 / item within 3 – 6 business days per Freight carrier or GLS
  • Accessories & Small Parts: € 4.90 within 2 – 5 business days per Parcel service

Accessories ship free of charge when ordered together with an e-bike.

 

3. Delivery Timeline & Process

Delivery period starts after receipt of payment. Orders placed on working days before [12:00 pm] are processed the same day.

  1. Order & payment: We prepare your order for dispatch as soon as payment is confirmed.
  2. Dispatch: Once handed to the logistics partner, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation by email.
  3. Delivery: Your order will be sent to your delivery address. Depending on the carrier, you may receive a short notification by email or phone beforehand. Please keep your contact details up to date.
  4. Receipt & inspection: Check the packaging for damage before signing (→ see Section 6).

 

4. Delivery Type – “Kerbside”

E-bikes and batteries are delivered kerbside as standard – i.e. at the roadside in front of your delivery address.

  • No transport into your home, basement, or courtyard.
  • For insurance reasons, the driver cannot carry the item beyond the kerbside.
  • Please be present at delivery, or arrange someone to receive it.

Tip: A second pair of hands helps – the box is large but manageable.

 

5. Note: Lithium-Ion Batteries & Dangerous Goods Regulations

Lithium-ion batteries are classified as dangerous goods for transport. We therefore only work with certified specialist logistics partners.

  • E-bikes: specialist freight carriers (e.g. DHL Freight, Go Express, HES).
  • Batteries: freight carrier or, in exceptional cases, GLS.
  • Accessories (no battery): standard parcel service.

This explains the higher shipping costs and longer lead times compared to standard parcels.

 

6. Important: Inspecting Your Delivery

Please inspect the item in the presence of the driver before signing.

🟢  Box undamaged: Sign and enjoy your new Aventon!
🟡  Minor damage (scratches or dents on the box): Accept, but note on the driver’s scanner: “Packaging damaged – accepted under reservation.” Take photos before opening.
🔴  Severe damage (open holes, visibly bent parts): Refuse delivery. Contact us immediately – we’ll send a replacement.

 

7. Dispatched from Our Logistics Centre

All orders ship from our German logistics partner. The sender address may vary by product.
