Warranty Terms

Brand of Ride Aventon Germany GmbH

These warranty conditions apply to all e-bikes, parts and accessories purchased in Germany on or after March 1, 2026.

1. General

The guarantor of this limited manufacturer's warranty is Ride Aventon Germany GmbH.
Hereinafter, Ride Aventon Germany GmbH will be referred to as "Aventon".
These warranty conditions apply in addition to the buyer's statutory warranty rights and are granted without additional charge.
The statutory claims, in particular those arising from § 433 BGB (German Civil Code), remain unaffected and exist independently of this voluntary warranty.


2. Authorized persons and transferability


The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product and is transferable to a second purchaser if 
  • the second purchaser can present the original proof of purchase

This warranty cannot be transferred to a third purchaser.

The remaining warranty period is based on the original purchase date.

There are no additional costs for transferring the warranty.


3. Scope and duration of warranty


3.1 Scope of Warranty


Aventon grants the original purchaser and any authorized second purchaser (cf. Section 2) a two (2) year manufacturer's warranty from the original purchase date on Aventon -products against defects in material and workmanship.
The prerequisite is that the product was purchased new from an authorized partner or our official online -shop. The warranty is subject to the condition that Aventon -products are used for non-commercial and non-profit purposes, within the normal scope and as intended according to the respective operating instructions and policies published by Aventon.

Registration is not a prerequisite for the two-year manufacturer's warranty.

 

In the event of a warranty claim, Aventon's choice covers:

  • The repair of the affected product or component,
  • the replacement with an equivalent product or component or
  • the replacement with a comparable successor model, if the original product is no longer available.

Aventon reserves the right to limit warranty services to the country in which it was purchased.

The warranty applies exclusively to manufacturing - and material defects. It does not cover consequences of normal wear and tear, see Section 5 for more details.


3.2. Extended frame warranty


For the bicycle frame, Aventon grants an extended frame -warranty, provided that the
bicycle is registered within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • Extended frame -warranty ("lifetime warranty"):
    If the bicycle is registered within 30 days of the purchase date, Aventon grants a lifetime warranty in terms of the technical service life of the frame.
    The technical service life is limited to a maximum of ten (10) years from the purchase date.

The warranty conditions are transferable to second purchasers under the following conditions (cf. Section 2).

  • the second purchaser can present the original proof of purchase
  • the bicycle was registered by the original purchaser within 30 days

The extended frame -warranty period is always based on the original purchase date.


3.3 Aventon brand components and equipment parts

  • Two (2) years from the date of purchase

3.4 Battery (E-Bikes)

  • Two (2) years from the date of purchase or
  • up to 500 full charging cycles, whichever comes first.

A charging capacity of 75% after 500 charging cycles compared to the respective initial value is guaranteed.

4. Warranty service

In the event of a warranty claim, Aventon will choose to repair or replace the product, see Section 3.1.

Replaced parts become the property of Aventon.

The assumption of labor and transport costs is generally not part of the
warranty services.

Aventon reserves the right, at its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis, to assume labor costs for repairs after prior consultation with the warranty holder. There is no entitlement to this.

There is no entitlement to a new product, a loan or replacement product during the performance of the warranty service.

5. Warranty exclusions

Excluded from the warranty are in particular:

  • The replacement of any damage in the event of accident, fall, overload or improper use
  • The replacement of any damage due to improper assembly, unauthorized modifications,
    corrosion, weather influences or improper care/cleaning agents
  • Any replacement for normal or usual wear and tear of the products as well as the replacement of wear parts such as:
    • Tires & inner tubes
    • Brake discs, brake pads & rim brake flanks
    • Chains, sprockets, seals, bearings & gears of the drive
    • Handlebar grips
    • Hub freewheels and freewheel pawls
    • Brake , shift cable and its casings
    • Moving rubber parts
  • The replacement for purely cosmetic damage (e.g. scratches, paint chips), unless they affect the function of the product
  • The replacement of any consequential damage such as loss of use, loss of vacation enjoyment, rental costs or loss of earnings
  • The replacement of damage based on the fact that maintenance and service were not carried out according to the instructions and intervals contained in the manual.
This warranty applies exclusively to the private, non-commercial use of the products within the normal scope, according to their respective intended purpose and according to the respective operating instructions and policies published by Aventon, see already Section 3.1.

Accordingly, this warranty expires if the product:
  • is used for commercial purposes (e.g. in rental fleets, with courier services) or
  • is exposed to stresses that exceed the usual level or the intended use, for example, if the product is used in races, competitions, stunts or acrobatic riding exercises.

Excluded are third-party -components such as gears, brakes or suspension. For these parts, the separate warranty conditions of the respective manufacturers apply. The corresponding warranty information was enclosed with the product, and claims must be made directly to the third-party provider.

The exclusions of this section do not affect statutory claims.

6. Procedure in case of warranty claim

  1. The warranty claim must be reported with proof of purchase (invoice, receipt) via an Aventon partner or directly to Ride Aventon Germany GmbH using the contact form available on the website. The report includes photos of the damage and an explanation of the cause of the damage.
  2. The request will be reviewed by Aventon.
  3. Possible queries to the customer regarding the facts may follow.
  4. After successful review, repair or replacement will be carried out.
  5. Rejections will be communicated in text form.
