Best Value Winner Current ADV

The Aventon Current ADV impresses in the latest ElektroRad review as a powerful e-all-mountain bike with a strong Ultro X motor, balanced ride handling and an attractive price-performance ratio.

In issue 4/2026, the Current ADV received a rating of 1.5 “Very Good”. It was also awarded “Very Good Price/Performance”. For Aventon, this is a strong signal at the market launch in Germany.

The powerful drive system, responsive suspension, long range and balanced handling on the trail were highlighted in particular.

Aventon Current ADV price-performance winner in the ElektroRad review

Powerful Ultro X Motor, Quiet Performance

In the review, the Aventon Ultro X proved itself as a powerful mid-drive motor with strong support on climbs. The Current ADV offers up to 110 Nm of torque and, in Boost Mode, briefly up to 120 Nm.

This makes technical uphills noticeably easier to ride. At the same time, ElektroRad describes the drive system as pleasantly quiet and natural in Auto Mode.

The result: plenty of power, delivered in a controlled and trail-ready overall package.

Suspension and Handling: Ready for the Trail

The Current ADV also impressed downhill in the review. The RockShox suspension with 150 mm of travel at the front and 140 mm at the rear absorbs bumps confidently and provides plenty of control.

The geometry is designed for stability and agility: a slack head angle for confidence on descents and short chainstays for direct handling on the trail.

The result is an eMTB that delivers powerful support uphill and wants to be ridden actively downhill.

Smart Technology Integrated Directly into the eMTB

Alongside the motor and suspension, ElektroRad also highlights the digital equipment. The Aventon ACU touch display integrated into the top tube is intuitive to use and serves as the interface for smart features.

GPS tracking, 4G connectivity, anti-theft protection and Over-the-Air updates make the Current ADV more than a classic eMTB. It is part of a connected Aventon system that can continue to evolve even after purchase.

It is exactly this combination of performance and smart technology that makes the Current family so exciting.
